Myrtle Beach Fall Rally, Sep 30 - Oct 2

Well, what a weekend! Friday night we rode over to the beach, ate dinner (at Thorney's) and checked into the hotel. The party was already in full swing, and the bikes were cruisin the strip. Saturday morning, we went to the Golden Corral Buffet where the MB Star Riders chapter hosted a meet & greet. There were lots of bikes, raffle prizes, and friendly folks. All the SC Chapter presidents were there, and Stone Mtn GA members made the trip north. Beaufort SC will be signing their charter soon, and they joined in the fun. After breakfast, we went to Barefoot Landing to see some of the custom choppers. Afterwards we cruised around, rode by the Hog Pics photographer (www.hogpics.com), and then found Burrito Moe's for lunch in Garden City. After followed a rest at the hotel, and then watching all the bikes cruise by from the balcony. Later we walked down the street to Friendly's for some ice cream. We hung out for the rest of the evening with Star Riders in front of the hotel. The cops stopped and asked me not to sit on the sidewalk (it was a great angle for taking pictures). Sleeping was a challenge with all the bikes cruising by, but who needs sleep! Sunday we slept late, cruised to the Harley dealership to look at the vendors. We sae Tina the MotoLight lady (www.motolight.com) and Triumph the wonder Lab. These are the best lights for bikes that I have ever seen. We won a set at the FJR EOM (see below on this blog). After lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise (try the chocolate nachos for dessert), we headed towards home. Just in time, the nascar race at Talladega had just started. What a weekend! Time for a nascar nap! Angel
